<p>An open-ended spinning assembly has a spinning rotor interchangeable cap (8) with a fibre feed passage (10). The feed transport direction reverses in the vicinity of the mouth with an increasing component around the rotor. The adapter (8) consists esp. of two or more components (23, 24; 29, 33), each of which contains a section of the fibre feed passage. The components join at an obtuse angled interface. Both sections (25, 26; 30, 31) run in a straight, converging line. One section (23, 33) is the main adapter (8), while the other (24; 29) is an insert incorporating the fibre feed passage (10) mouth (12). During normal operation the separation point (27) is located within the rotor (1).</p> |
