Device for controlling the supply of air to a rotating component (1) of a sheet processing machine (2), especially for supply of suction air to a turning over drum of a sheet-type rotary printer. Air is supplied by a rotary valve (14) that has a stator (20) connected to the air supply and a rotor (18). Rotor and stator are arranged within the rotating component. An adjustment device (30) controls air supply so that air supply is matched to the operating cycle of the sheet processing machine.
