The roof has solar cells (10) positioned between an internal plastics carrier (4) and outer glass layer (5). The carrier is trough-shaped with a circumferential outwardly facing edge (8) enclosing a central chamber. This contains the solar cells and is closed off by the glass layer. The carrier is of injection-moulded plastics. The hollow space between the glass layer and the solar cells is filled with a cast pref. transparent adhesive and/or a pref. transparent adhesive foil layer. The glass is positioned inside the chamber within the trough, and engages on the edge. |
