The device comprises a bending resistant measurement plate that is bound to the surface of the film in the insulation core. After panel manufacture, a suction connection piece is placed over the measurement plate and pumped out. When the pressure inside the panel equals the pressure in the suction piece the film above the measurement plate is flat. Under atmospheric pressure it is pushed in to a recess in the plate.
