CHROMIUM PLATING METHOD OF STAINLESS STEEL SHEET

PURPOSE: A chromium plating method of stainless steel sheet is provided in which thickness and properties of a chromium plating layer is stable and uniformized, color of the plating layer is not stained, and glossiness of the plating layer is improved without polishing. CONSTITUTION: In a method for plating chromium on an article such as case for portable cellular phone prepared by pressing a stainless steel sheet, the chromium plating method of the stainless steel sheet comprises a surface etching electrolytic solution treatment process of etching the surface of the stainless steel sheet by injecting the stainless steel sheet into an electrolytic cell in which 1 liter of water is mixed with 80 to 100 g of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and 2 to 3 g of a mixture of alkylether ester sodium sulfate, dispersing agent and pH adjusting agent; a washing process of washing the surface etched stainless steel sheet using deionized water; and a chromium plating process of chromium plating the washed stainless steel sheet using a plating solution prepared by mixing 1 liter of water with 255 to 320 g of chromic anhydride of trivalent chromic ions, 2.6 to 5.0 g of sulfuric acid, and 30 to 80 g of polishing agent (chromium conversion liquid).
