DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPLYING USB DEVICE POWER OF DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A display device and a method for supplying USB device power of a display device are provided to supply a power being supplied from a computer main body to a USB port in a power saving mode(ACPI(Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) S3 status). CONSTITUTION: In the case that a computer main body(10) is a normal status, an LCD monitor(20) receives a 12-volt driving power through a power output port(17) from a power supply unit(15) through a driving power input unit(25) and is operated. A USB port unit(27) receives a 5-volt driving power converted by the first USB control power creation unit(41) prepared at one side of the LCD monitor which receives the 12-volt driving power supplied from the driving power input unit(25), and supplies a driving power to a connected USB device(30). A USB control unit(40) receives a driving power from the second USB control power creation unit(43) which converts the power converted by the first USB control power creation unit(41) into a 3.3-volt power, and transmits a control signal to the USB device(30). In the case that the computer main body(10) enters a power saving mode, the USB port unit(27) of the LCD monitor(20) receives a 5-volt driving power through a USB connection unit(26) being electrically contacted with the first pin(5V) of a USB port(13), and supplies a power to the USB device(30) through a USB control power creation unit(43) and the USB port unit(27).
