摘要 |
PURPOSE: To provide a technology capable of decreasing the frame processing speed so as to reduce the power consumption without deteriorating the image quality in an imaging system employing a CMOS solid-state imaging element. CONSTITUTION: In the imaging system employing a CMOS solid-state imaging element, while the CMOS solid-state imaging element (10) is in operation at a full frame rate at all times, a circuit (20) for processing the image signal from the CMOS solid-state imaging element is operated at a speed close to that of full frame processing only at application of power and at the occurrence of a change in a photographing environment and the frame processing speed is switched to a low rate at a point of time when automatic control such as iris control is stabilized.
