The rock drill (2) and a prop positioning machine comprise a frame (3), a fastening device for fitting a drill bar (8) connected to the frame and a sound damping component (11) for covering the drill bar during drilling. The rock drill includes a fastening component (4) which connects the sound damping component to the frame. This fastening component includes at least one first pivotably arranged link arm (5). This link arm moves the sound damping component from a first position in which the drill bar is covered to a second control position where the drill bar is visible for inspection. The prop positioning machine incorporates a frame to which is connected a fastening device for retention of a prop during the positioning process and a sound damping component which covers the prop during positioning. The machine also has a fixture component which contains at least one first pivotable link arm for moving the sound damping component from a first position where it covers the prop to a second control position where the prop is visible for inspection. |
