METHOD FOR DESIGNATING USER LANGUAGE IN MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT AUTOMATIC VOICE TRANSLATING SYSTEM ENVIRONMENT THROUGH WIRE/WIRELESS TELEPHONE NETWORK AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for designating a user language in a multi-language support automatic voice translating system environment through a wire/wireless telephone network and an apparatus therefor are provided to use an automatic voice translating service commonly by designating a language to be translated. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for designating a language receives a call from a caller wanting an automatic voice translating service(410). An automatic response unit sends a voice information to the caller to input a language of a receiver(420). The apparatus for designating a language receives a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) signal representing the language of the receiver(430). A call setting unit receives a telephone number of the receiver for setting a call line(440). The call setting unit transmits voice signals of the caller and the receiver to an automatic voice translating system to translate the signals into the language of the receiver and a language of the caller respectively(450). The translated languages are transmitted to the receiver and the caller(460).
