PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition is provided to prevent and cure the acne by using ingredients which have the anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for preventing and curing the acne contains 0.001-30.0 wt.% of an extract of Portulaca oleracea, 0.01-2.0 wt.% of copper gluconate, 0.01-2.0 wt.% of zinc gluconate, and 0.5-20.0 wt.% of magnesium gluconate. In order to make an extract of Portulaca oleracea, Portulaca is washed, and pulverized to form a Portulaca powder. Water and 1,3-butylene glycol (or ethanol) are added to the Portulaca powder in a volume ratio of 2:1, and mixed for 1-2 weeks. The mixture is filtered, concentrated, and freeze-dried.
