The structure has longitudinal roof struts (4) and transverse roof struts, which are hollow profiles with an open recess (8) in the top, and together form a closed ring profile. A roof element (9) has downward angled edge rails (10) engaging into the open recesses in the struts, to form a further closed allround ring profile. The element is fastened in place via the edge rails, and also supports itself on internal sections (13) of the struts. An additional transverse strut is located between front and rear transverse struts, to divide the roof area into sections.
