PURPOSE: A mouse input device for displaying information on a screen and a method for controlling the same are provided to display an information window whenever a mouse is used by a mouse input device including a memory, and to execute a corresponding control of the information window only when a user wants to execute the control. CONSTITUTION: A mouse button sensing unit(2) senses a mouse button operation of a user and transmits the button operation to a microprocessor of a mouse control unit(3). A mouse position sensing unit(4) transmits position information in accordance with a mouse movement operation of a user to the microprocessor. The mouse control unit(3) comprises a memory including screen display data and control information thereof and the microprocessor which receives the screen display data and processes a mouse data transmission from the mouse button sensing unit(2) and the mouse position sensing unit(4). Inherent mouse data and screen display data are transmitted to a computer main body USB port(5) by a control of the microprocessor. |
