PROCESS FOR PRODUCING WATER- AND OIL-REPELLENT FLUORINE BASED COATING AGENT HAVING CORE-SHELL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A process for producing a fluorine based coating agent having a core-shell structure is provided to reduce the amount of expensive fluoro-monomers, to exclude the requirement for a volatile organic solvent and to improve water- and oil-repellence. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing a fluorine based coating agent having a core-shell structure comprises the steps of: (a) carrying out emulsion polymerization of a monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylate monomers, methacrylate monomers, styrene monomers and vinyl monomers, a surfactant, distilled water, a chain transfer agent and a water soluble initiator to form a core latex; and (b) introducing a fluorine based monomer alone or a mixture of the fluorine based monomer with a comonomer as a shell component when the conversion of the monomer into the polymer is 70%-95% in order to form a core-shell particle.
