PURPOSE: A method for transmitting multimedia data through a reservation distribution transmission is provided to improve a data transmission quality by distributing and transmitting multimedia data to a user terminal and distributing a traffic. CONSTITUTION: A server computer is interlocked with a streaming server and a user terminal includes a client program for receiving data from the server computer. Reservation transmission request contents with respect to multimedia data are received from the user terminal to the server computer(S10). A partial portion of the reserved multimedia data is extracted and downloaded to the user terminal(S11). If a streaming signal with respect to the multimedia data is received from the user terminal to the server computer(S12), streaming objected data corresponded to the remaining portion of the requested multimedia data are extracted and transmitted to the user terminal and combined with the downloaded data(S13). The multimedia data are reproduced in real time(S14).
