The propeller shaft device includes a hollow propeller shaft (1) of fiber-reinforced plastic and a connecting element fixed to one end of it. The connecting element has a hub sector (3) gripping the shaft from the outside. A plug (5) is pressed into the end (2) of the shaft in the region of the hub sector, creating radial internal pressure to widen the shaft end slightly so that torque can be transmitted.
