PURPOSE: A seal is provided to prevent counterfeit of the seal by forming a background pattern in the seal. CONSTITUTION: Seal material is made by compounding various materials(f,g) having different chemical and physical characteristics in such a manner that a predetermined pattern is formed in a seal. After engraving a pattern, such a name, on a bottom surface of the seal, a chemical and physical heat-treatment process is carried out so as to form an unique background pattern on the bottom surface of the seal, which is varied depending on materials(f,g) as used. Since the seal is formed with various materials(f,g) having different chemical and physical characteristics, a cutting work is carried out in a different manner with respect to the seal, so that the background pattern is formed in the seal based on the characteristics of materials(f,g) used in the seal.
