LCD MONITOR HAVING DUAL INTERFACE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An LCD monitor having a dual interface and a method for controlling the same are provided to display a booting screen although a video signal different from a predetermined image display mode is inputted in an initial booting status of a computer system. CONSTITUTION: If a power is applied to an LCD monitor and a computer main body(S10), a system initial booting is started in the computer main body(S12). The computer main body outputs a video signal for displaying a booting screen to the LCD monitor. A microcomputer of the LCD monitor decides a kind of a signal inputted through a DVI connector in accordance with a sensing result through a port signal sensing unit(S14). In the case that a booting screen graphic signal is inputted through an analogue video signal port(S16), the microcomputer sets an image display mode of the LCD monitor as an analogue mode(S18). If the image display mode is an analogue mode, the microcomputer controls a scaler and displays an analogue video signal inputted through the analogue video signal port on an LCD panel(S20). A booting screen inputted by an analogue video signal is displayed on the LCD panel(S28).
