PURPOSE: An electric tool and an insulating method thereof are provided to secure thermal resistance and physical durability of an outer casing by mounting an insulating unit extended from a rotor supporting part to the inside of the outer casing, to have excellent safety against a leakage of electricity, and to compact the external form of the outer casing. CONSTITUTION: An electric tool is composed of a motor(2) including a stator(2a) and a rotor(2b) mounted in an outer casing(1); a bearing(3) rotatively supporting the rotor of the motor; a rotor supporting part(1a) formed in the outer casing to support the bearing; and an insulating part(11) arranged from the rotor supporting part along the inner surface of the outer casing. The insulating part is an insulating layer formed by injection-molding insulating resin material.
