PURPOSE: A processing apparatus for a front end of a billet is provided to prevent a fault of the billet by automatically processing the front end of the billet through a rolling process when manufacturing a special steel or a bismuth-added steel. CONSTITUTION: A billet processing apparatus includes a position detecting sensor section(20) for detecting a front end of a billet(10). A driving section is provided to allow the front end of the billet to be processed in a tapered shape. A body section includes an upper cover(104) and a lower cover for easily assembling/disassembling upper and lower bushes, which are provided to easily rotate the driving section. A cylinder section(109) is provided to move the driving section in forward and backward directions. The cylinder section(109) applies rolling force to the driving section when processing the front end of the billet(10).
