<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical polymeric gelatinizing agent which makes a therapeutic substance of a medicine, etc., to directly act to a lesion site, exhibits a therapeutic effect to the maximum possible extent by staying the agent, etc., at the lesion site for a long period while maintaining the concentration effective for the therapy and can minimize adverse side reactions. <P>SOLUTION: This medical polymeric gelatinizing agent consists of two kinds: photosetting gelatin and a photoreactive radical generating agent, and is prepared by embedding the therapeutic substance into the photosetting gelatin. The photosetting gelatin applied to the lesion tissue is irradiated with visible light in the presence of carboxylated camphorquinone or camphorquinone which is the photoreactive radical generating agent and is bonded to the lesion tissue, causing the sustained release of the therapeutic substance is a gelatinized state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
