PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in the prior art, that placement of a to-be-treated bag in a proper alignment and setting of cutting position for the bag are difficult, in the case of cutting a packing material by a laser beam emitted from a laser beam apparatus. SOLUTION: Packages 3 of contents hermetically sealed with a packaging material are put in a tank 1 for water 2, and floated on the water. A unidirectional swirl-flow is caused in the water to allow the packages 3 to flow in the stream in order to align side by side along the periphery of the tank. The packages 3 are scooped and aligned one by one on a conveyor 5 and carried to the underside of a cutting device 7. The package 3 is cut in its upper surface with the laser beam cutter 9. The packaging material is thermally cut linearly, or in a letter X, or O, etc., by scanning a laser beam on its upper surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
