PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of uncomfortableness due to the rotation of a steering wheel at a revolving angular velocity different from a revolving angular velocity supposed by a driver when automatically operating a vehicle independently of the steering speed of the steering wheel. SOLUTION: An electric power steering device 16 steers a right and a left front wheels at a target steering angleθwr for automatic steering. In order to set the revolving angular velocityθsd of the steering wheel 14 at the target revolving angular velocityθsdr to be set by a setting dial 46, a gear ratio variable device 26 provided between a lower steering shaft 22B on the right and the left front wheels side and an upper steering shaft 22A on the steering wheel 14 side rotates the upper steering shaft 22A in relation to the lower steering shaft 22B at a revolving angular velocity to be decided on the basis of the revolving angular velocityθdd and the target revolving angular velocityθsdr of the lower steering shaft 22B when automatically steering.
