MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR VINYL ALCOHOL POLYMER FILM, AND POLARIZING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method of manufacturing a vinyl alcohol polymer film excellent in terms of process passing properties in a film-making process and a yield in a process of preparing a polarizing film. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the vinyl alcohol polymer film, a film-making material containing a vinyl alcohol polymer is cast or discharged onto an endless belt and dried by hot air and then the vinyl alcohol polymer film is peeled off from the endless belt. After both end parts in the width direction of the film are removed by 5 cm or more in total, the film is subjected to post-drying or heat treatment at a temperature lower than the maximum temperature of the hot air.
