METHOD FOR CLEANING OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector cleaning method for cleaning the front end face (connecting end face) of a ferrule of an optical connector by thoroughly removing foreign matter stuck to the connecting end face. SOLUTION: This optical connector cleaning method comprises a first step to brush the connecting end face and a second step to collect the foreign matter stuck to the connecting end face onto the surface of an adhesive agent-applied, foreign matter exfoliating member by pressing the foreign matter exfoliating member to the connecting end face. The foreign matter is kept in an easily removable state in the first step and is removed in the second step. Since the foreign matter can be removed thoroughly by simple procedure according to this method, the results different in cleanliness are hardly produced by different workers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
