BRUSH BRISTLE SETTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush bristle setting device such that a single setting device can set bristles onto a brush head part of a brush product having bristle holes of varying diameters. SOLUTION: The brush bristle setting device includes a bristle supply mechanism 9 for supplying a bristle setting mechanism 7 with a bundle 6 of bristles obtained by scraping a designated number of bristles from a group of bristles 8 by means of a bristle scraping groove 15 formed on the outer peripheral edge of a reciprocating picker 13; a flat wire supply mechanism 11 for supplying the bristle setting mechanism 7 with a flat wire 10 for driving the bristles in; and the bristle setting mechanism 7 by which the bundle 6 of bristles supplied from the bristle supply mechanism 9 are each folded in two and set into the setting holes 5 in the head part 3 of a toothbrush handle 2 with the flat wire 10 supplied from the flat wire supply mechanism 11. A rotatable or slidable bristle stopper 14 is attached to the setting device in such a manner as to cover the upper face or both the upper and lower faces of the bristle scraping groove 15. The area of the bristle scraping groove 15 is varied by varying the rotating or sliding position of the stopper 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
