PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily fold the forwardly protruding base legs of a merchandise display rack and to easily and securely hold the legs when the legs are deployed and when they are folded. SOLUTION: A frame 4 including right and left posts 1 whose lower ends are connected together by a lower connecting rod 3 is provided with a rack panel or other article support member. The rear end of a forwardly facing base leg 7 is pivotally supported against the lower end of each post 1 by a vertical pivot. A support rod 16 whose rear end is pivotally attached to an appropriate portion of the lower connecting rod 3 in such a manner as to be rotatable about a vertical axis has its forward end locked to an appropriate portion of the base leg 7 at a deployed position where the support rod faces in front of the base leg 7 and at a folded position, whereby the base leg 7 is held fixed in each position.
