<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft ferrite-carrying porcelain-based tile for absorbing electromagnetic waves at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing the soft ferrite-carrying porcelain-based tile for absorbing electromagnetic waves comprises firing a formed body of a raw material under an oxidizing atmosphere in a temperatuer range of 1,000 to 1,050°C, thereafter, firing the formed body under a reducing atmosphere in a temperature raising process to 1,150 to 1,250°C and a temperature holding process at 1,150 to 1,250°C, and cooling in a closed state or an open state in a general single furnace or a tunnel furnace. The formed body of the raw material is a formed body of a porcelain raw material into which a plurality of kinds of metal oxide powder or those containing a small amount of metal powder, having a soft ferrite composition, are added. The reducing atmosphere contains carbon monoxide in a concentration of ≥0.2%. The soft ferrite-carrying porcelain-based tile is decorated by using glaze or engobe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
