EXHAUST GAS CLEANING CATALYST AND EXHAUST GAS CLEANING MATERIAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst having high exhaust gas cleaning efficiency and an exhaust gas cleaning material extremely excellent in durability and economical efficiency.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cleaning catalyst contains an inorganic oxide having heat resistance, a transition metal oxide catalyst layer supported on the surface of the inorganic oxide, a first catalyst having a noble metal layer and a second catalyst having a sulfate of at least one kind of an alkali metal. The exhaust gas cleaning material has a three-dimensional structure having heat resistance, the inorganic oxide having heat resistance supported on the surface of the three-dimensional structure, the transition metal oxide catalyst layer supported on the surface of the inorganic oxide and a layer of an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst containing the first catalyst having a noble metal layer and the second catalyst having at least one kind of an alkali metal sulfate.
