<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage causing no unpleasant feeling left after reduction of bitterness and astringency each peculiar to catechin using a sweetener or the like, and suitable as a regular drink. <P>SOLUTION: The beverage is such as to be formulated with condensate or refined substance of tea extract, and contains constituents (A) 0.092-0.5 wt.% of non-polymeric catechin, and (B) a quinic acid, wherein the weight ratio (B)/(A) is 10.01-1.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
