PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveying type image forming device capable of eliminating issues, such as uneven coloring, which is caused by the belt joint part fitted on the conveying belt if any. SOLUTION: A belt position detection marking (a belt position detection part) fitted onto the conveying belt 10 is detected by a belt position detecting sensor (a belt position detection means) 22. Thus, a belt drive is controlled so that paper (recording medium) 30 may not be conveyed by the belt joint part of the conveying belt 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
