[Also in Division B6] A container having a false bottom is made by first deep drawing a conical blank having a cylindrical bore portion and then, pushing the base of the container upward so that the cylindrical portion is caused to fold back on itself. In operation, a tool 5 having a projecting rim 6 is inserted into the blank and the cylindrical bore portion 2, 3, 4 is folded about the rim by a lower tool 7 which is moved upwardly into the space bounded by the rim. |
