The filter unit has filtering discs (4) arranged on a hollow shaft (3) with side walls forming a space for the liquid mixture to be filtered. A filtering means embraces the disc walls and periphery and a collecting vessel (10) inside the hollow shaft (3) collects the coarse phase solids (22). Carrier elements (13) rotating with the filter discs transport the solids phase (22) to collection vessel (10). Barrier elements (17) prevent the coarse solid phase (22) from sliding back into the liquid mixture as the filter disc rotates. |
