METHOD FOR CONNECTING ELECTROLYTIC COPPER PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting an electrolytic copper plate for incorporating the weight equivalent to that of a conventional electrolytic copper plate by connecting two electrolytic copper plates so that even an electrolytic copper plate produced by a permanent cathode method can be accepted in an existing copper refinery reverberatory furnace.

SOLUTION: The method for connecting the electrolytic copper plate comprises the step of disposing the two superposed electrolytic copper plates 1 between a punch 32 and a die 33. The method further comprises the steps of pressing the punch 32 to the two superposed plates 1, inserting the plates 1 into the die 33, and simultaneously deforming the two plates 1 to caulk the plates with each other.
