<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal grinding attachment for a ferrule that can use a straight wire, reduce cost and improve grinding efficiency without requiring setup change for wires of different outside diameters. <P>SOLUTION: With the wire 43 inserted through the ferrule 23, the ferrule 23 is rotated about its axial center or an axis parallel with the axial center by a rotating mechanism 24, and the wire 43 is moved along its length by a reciprocating mechanism 47. In this case, a tight contact mechanism 45 moves the wire 43 in a direction that brings the wire 43 into tight contact with an inner periphery of the ferrule 23, or a vibrating mechanism vibrates the wire 43 between a position contacting the inner periphery of the ferrule 23 and a position away from the inner periphery for grinding the inner periphery of the ferrule 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
