PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the arrangement of a steering motor containing a transmitting means for transmission to a steering shaft by rationally arranging two steering motors for moving the steering shaft of a steering mechanism mechanically separated from a steering means in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The steering means and the steering shaft 11 are mechanically separated from each other in this steering device for vehicle. Two steering motors M1and M2are fitted to the outside of a pinion housing H2crossing a housing H1of the steering shaft 11 for transmission to a pinion shaft 15 housed in the pinion housing H2.
