PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain an image pick-up unit in a space held airtightly when performing a high-pressure and high-temperature steam sterilization, to easily repair and replace the image pick-up unit, and to reduce the effect of heat on a solid image pick-up element and a lens. SOLUTION: The image pick-up unit 16 is retained in a space held airtightly by a distal end part body 13, a tip part optical component 15, a metal frame, 20, and a metal ring 19 and preventing deterioration due to intrusion of water content in a member in the image pick-up unit 16. When repairing and replacing the image pick-up unit 16, solders 33 and 34 of the metal frame 20 are removed or the metal frame 20 is broken, so that the image pick-up unit 16 can be easily taken out. Places performing the soldering connection are the outer circumferential surface of the metal ring 19 and the rear end face of the tip body 13, so that the effect of heat on the lens and the solid image pick-up element can be reduced.
