<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for manufacturing a conductive roller having a minute and uniform cell (foam) diameter by an in-mold foaming method. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the conductive roller, a preform having a covering layer which is constituted of a rubber composition prepared by blending a conductivity giving agent, a foaming agent and a vulcanizing agent and is provided on the surface of a core metal is heated to be foamed and vulcanized. Heating of the preform disposed in a mold is started, in this method, and at the time point when the degree of vulcanization reaches 0.3-0.8 and when foaming advances to such a degree that a filling percentage reaches 96-100%, the mold is opened at a stroke.
