PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of the external appearance of a sheet bundle after binding by improving alignment performance of sheets in the advancing direction when the sheets slantly disposed on a paper mount are lowered by the dead weight of the sheets and abutted on the abutment member for positioning the tips of the sheets in the advancing direction.

SOLUTION: This subsequent treatment device stacks the sheets S discharged from an image forming device on a stack part 30 and binds them. This sheet subsequent treatment device is provided with width alignment means 36 aligning the sheet width direction orthogonally crossing with the carrier direction of the sheets S loaded on the stack part 30 and vertical alignment means 70 aligning the carrier direction of the sheets S loaded on the stack part 30.
