PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate flowing-out of scum formed in the shape of a film by crushing the scum to small pieces with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A scum crushing apparatus is provided with a jet nozzle for fluid (gas or liquid) for making the fluid impinge on a scum formation surface, and the fluid is intermittently jetted from the jet nozzle.
