PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe expanding apparatus capable of improving productivity by enhancing the conveying efficiency of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The pipe expanding apparatus comprises a pair of first supports 12 for slidably mounting end plates 9 at a pair of first guide bars 10 provided between a base 2 and a ceiling 4 at the front side of the end plate 9 and an operating plate 6, a pair of second supports 13 for slidably mounting the end plates 9 at a pair of second guide bars 11 provided between the base 2 and the ceiling 4 at the rear side of the end plate 9, a stopper 19 slidably provided at least either one of the first guide bar 10 and the second guide bar 11 via a stopper raising/falling means, and at least one of the guide path 2a of a transfer unit 23 for conveying the heat exchanger or the guide path 2a for installing a conveying unit is made to be able to pass through the exchanger from one side to the other side of the base 2 side at the base 2.
