PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-shrinkable film roll which reduces the occurrence of breakage caused by the variation in breakage ratio of a lengthy film wound into the film roll in a precessing process and is excellent in processability, and to provide a method for producing the film roll. SOLUTION: The heat-shrinkable film is wound into the film roll. When test pieces cut off from the film in prescribed conditions are subjected to a tensile test in the direction perpendicular to the maximum shrinkage direction of the film under conditions of the distance between chucks of 10 mm, the width of the test piece of 15 mm, a temperature of 23°C, and a tensile speed of 200 mm/min, the number of the test pieces 5% or below in elongation at break is 10% or below of the total number of the test pieces in each cutting part.
