<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveniently evaluating desulfurization performance and that is capable of being available for the quality control and the like to reduce cost and time required in conducting the desulfurization test for evaluating the desulfurization performance of the carbon type catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The method is to conduct the evaluation and quality control of the carbon type desulfurization catalyst by heating the catalyst in an inactive atmosphere such as nitrogen, He and the like, preferably to 600°C or more and measuring the elimination rate of CO generated to presume the desulfurization performance. Also, the evaluation equipment for desulfurization performance evaluation of the desulfurization catalyst comprising a supply means of an inactive gas, a sample tube charged with the desulfurization catalyst as a sample, a means for heating the sample and a detecting means of CO generated from the sample is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
