<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a vinyl alcohol polymer film which curls little when immersed in water and can be stretched uniformly and being useful as the manufacturing method of the vinyl alcohol polymer film for a polarizing film in particular, and to obtain the vinyl alcohol polymer film which can be made to be the polarizing film having a uniform polarizing performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the present manufacturing method for the vinyl alcohol polymer film, a film-making material containing a vinyl alcohol polymer is cast or discharged onto an endless belt stretched between two or more rolls, so as to be made into a film. On the occasion, only the roll nearest to a position where the material is cast or discharged from a slit-like opening part is driven and heated, while the other rolls rotate in following and at least one of them is cooled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
