<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag system capable of restraining generation of projection to the side of an occupant at the early stage of inflation, and shortening the time from the beginning to the completion of the inflation. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag system M1, an airbag 20 which is stored by being folded comprises a vehicle body sidewall section 22 having a gas flow inlet 23 for flowing in inflation as and an occupant sidewall section 25 which faces the gas flow inlet 23. The airbag 20 is disposed with a straightening fabric 36. The straightening fabric 36 is capable of restraining unnecessary projection to the side of the occupant of the occupant sidewall section 25, and regulates the flow of the flowing-in inflation gas. The straightening fabric 36 breaks a predetermined breaking section 41 before the completion of the inflation of the airbag 20. Thus, in the airbag 20, the regulation of the flow of the flowing-in inflation gas is released before the completion of the inflation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
