PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molded article with a skin capable of preventing change of properties or deformation of the skin due to heat of the not resin material. SOLUTION: The molded article with the skin comprises the skin 14 coating a base 12 and at least formed on an outer surface brought into direct contact with the resin material P1 and having an outer skin layer 32(32a) hardly affected by a thermal influence from the material P1 of a heated state and a thick part 36 provided to increase thickness at a site opposed to a casting gate 28 in the layer 32(32a). Thus, when the base 12 is molded in the state in which the skin 14 is set in the mold 20 for injection molding, the material P1 for molding the base caste from the gate 28 is filled in the cavity 26 while the material P1 pours onto the thick part 36, and hence the change of properties or deformation of the skin 14 due to the heat of the material P1 is prevented.
