PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant container excellent in flame retardation property which provide the flame retardation property not only to a surface of a base paper but also to the inner side of the base paper, and effectively prevent ignition of smoke exhausted from an end face. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant container is formed of a flame-retardant paper which is treated to provided the flame retardation property by a flame- retardant agent consisting of an aqueous solution containing a guanidine flame- retardant agent and a surfactant, and contains the flame-retardant agent in an amount of 5-200 g/m2as a solid component.
