Method of manufacture for a liquid or water meter made from plastic. Such a meter has a tank equipped with a lower part defining a housing for input (6) and output connection tubes (7) that are connected via reamed bore holes. The method has the following steps: injection of thermoplastic material into a mold corresponding to the meter body that has blanked off connection tubes; and stamping of the blanked tubes to form the desired reamed holes. An Independent claim is made for a device for forming a plastic water meter body. The molding device includes cores for formation of the blanked connection tubes. The cores are adapted for stamping the blanked tubes after molding.
