PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably guide the movement of a rack shaft for a long time by reducing the sliding resistance of the rack shaft to prevent the eccentric abrasion due to the edge stress to be generated in an end of a sliding part of a rack receiver seat. SOLUTION: One or both of the sliding part of the rack receiver seat and a receiver surface of a rack guide are formed with a plane shorter than the tilting directional length of a sliding surface of the rack shaft and corresponding to the sliding surface to restrict the sliding area abutting on the rack shaft to the required minimum.
