PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-castable float angling by solving the problems that fishes in offshore and deep sea are out of range of the conventional float angling, the hit of small fish cannot be detected when a conventional chum- casting cage is used, the situation of the bait set to the hook cannot be distinguished from the chum cast, the long-range line casting often cause troubles, e.g. line tangling or undesired hooking, undesired bait or chum release. SOLUTION: The chum for fishing is placed in a cage and the cage is made smoothly slidable along the rod float passing through the center of the cage. Since the chum cage smoothly moves in the vertical direction without collision, the small hits of fish become detectable. Further, the chum cage is made so as to float on the sea as the ceiling plane of the cage always comes on the water surface and the ceiling place of the cage is colored and the chum cage on the water is made observable. The bait to be set to the hook is placed in a bait pocket to protect the bait and the hook from the outer force and avoid troubles, for example, the bait is released from the hook or the leader line floats up on the sea surface or tangles to cages and the like.
