PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing noise in operating a block. SOLUTION: A part having an operation side recessed part 24 of wall surfaces 20 and 22 of the block 18 has low compression rigidity of the block 18, and a part having no operation side recessed part 24 has high compression rigidity of the block 18. When the block 18 reaches the ground, the part having high compression rigidity directly receives input (load) of the noise and the input is transmitted in the axial direction (center side) of the tire. While, the part having low compression rigidity directly receives input, but this input is absorbed by elastic deformation of the block 18 and is not transmitted in the axial direction (center side) of the tire. After the progress of the operation of the block 18, the part having high compression rigidity adjacent to the operation side recessed part 24 in the tire circumferential direction receives the input, and the input is transmitted to the center side of the tire. Thus, the input to the block 18 can be dispersed so called in the time direction, and pattern noise (noise) can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
